Palazzo Canossa di Verona

This is a famous private palace in Verona, considered one of the architectural masterpieces of the city.

It was built on commission of the family of the Marquises of Canossa, one of the oldest and most illustrious families in Italy, designed by Michele Sanmicheli in 1527.

The Palace is located in the aristocratic Corso Cavour. With a clear Mannerist layout, it does not have an entrance directly on the street, but slightly moved inwards, under a wonderful portico.

Given its importance and beauty, it was also used to host, in 1822, the famous congress of Verona, in which almost all the states of Europe participated.

The facade on Corso Cavour was renovated in 2010/2011 thanks to the intervention of ONE.
