Palazzo del Podestà di Bologna

It is located in Rome in Piazza Barberini, one of the most elegant areas of the city.

It is the work of Gian Lorenzo Bernini commissioned by Pope Urban VIII Barberini and made entirely of travertine in the mid-1600s.

The restoration sponsored in 2013 involved disinfecting the surface and removing biological particles and limestone, eliminating most of the stains and moss, returning the travertine to its original color.
