PARMA | PIAZZA GARIBALDI

This monument is located in the Square of the same name, in front of Palazzo del Governatore (Governor’s palace).

It is a bronze monument made in 1893 by the sculptor Davide Calandra. This monument describes Giuseppe Garibaldi standing, with his hands on the sword hilt, on a high pedastal decorated with three bas -relief describing Rome, Saint Fermo battle and Marsala disembarkation.

Restoration work took place in 2011.
