PIACENZA | PIAZZA CAVALLI

Monumento Equestre del Mochi

These two equestrian statues made in bronze are situated in the centre of the Square, which was called after the sculptures – Piazza Cavalli “Horses Square”.

Ranuccio I Farnese, master of Parma and Piacenza, commissioned these two sculptures to the Tuscan sculptor Francesco Mochi from Montevarchi n 1600.

These two statues have been restored between 2007 and 2008, thanks to ONE’s support.
