ROMA | PIAZZA BARBERINI

Triton Fountain, work of Lorenzo Bernini, is placed in Barberini Square, one of the most elegant areas of Rome. Pope Urbano VIII Barberini commissioned the fountain, entirely made in travertine marble, in the middle of 1600.

The restoration work sponsored in 2013, which included the sanitisation of the outer layer, the removal of biological particles, lime deposits and musk, brought the travertine marble back to its original colour.
