Chiesa Santa Maria della Pietà, chiesa di Vivaldi (restoration in course)
This church was named S. Maria della Pietà because it was next to the ancient orphanage placed in Calle della Pietà “Pity alley”. Also, it is named Vivaldi’s church because the music composer Antonio Vivaldi worked during the XVII century.
This church was erected between 1745 and 1760 according to the design of Giorgio Massari. However, the facade was completed only at the beginning of the XX century. It restoration begun in September 2014 and its actually in dvelopment, ONE in partnership with REMEDIA is contributing the work.
